#89: The Breakfast Club

Shockingly, Ian revealed he hadn’t seen The Breakfast Club, so here we are with another John Hughes classic, and plans for the American High Schooliverse.

The first game that Lewis ever played was "Horace Goes Skiing" on the ZX Spectrum. Yes, he's that old.

  1. I never hear anyone use the term “BAME” here in the US. The largest racial/ethnic minority group (actually, the only ethnicity, as opposed to race, officially recognized by the US government) is Hispanics. And when John Hughes was making Brat Pack movies, “Asian” would have meant “east Asian” (like Long Duk Dong), whereas my understanding is that across the pond it has long meant “south Asian”.

  2. Yes, BAME (Black, Asian and minority ethnic) is a term that seems to be mostly confined to the UK, it seems. I don’t necessarily think British people would think ‘Asian’ automatically means ‘south Asian’ though!
